Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for:

• Qualified plumbing engineers (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) seeking to join their local Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme.

• Learners new to the industry undertaking a plumbing qualification or Gas Managed Learning Programme (leading to ACS assessments for CCN1 and CENWAT).

• Professionals who require a WRAS Water Regulations qualification as a pre-requisite for renewable technology courses.

The 1-day course combines self-study with centre-based guided learning to give you the confidence and expertise to:

• Understand the background and legislation of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

• Identify fluid categories, definitions, and approved materials and substances in contact with water.

• Design and install compliant water fittings and supply pipes.

• Prevent cross-connection and implement effective backflow prevention.

• Apply hygiene best practices and meet requirements for hot and cold water services, sanitary fittings, domestic appliances, and external water use.
