Our manufacturer accredited courses are one day courses. However our LCL air source heat pump installer course is typically 3 days, combining theory with practical, hands-on experience. Some courses can also be combined with F-Gas training depending on your needs.
To enrol on our LCL heat pump training course, you typically need plumbing or heating experience. You will also require some other pre-requisites such as N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent. You will find the full list on the booking page.
No, the LCL Awards Heat Pump Installer course is a key part of the process but doesn’t make you MCS certified on its own.
MCS is a company-level certification. After completing the course, you'll need to go through assessment with a certification body and meet MCS standards, including a quality management system and at least one compliant installation
