Panasonic RAC Solo - R32 Range

The RAC Solo is a completely self-contained unit that requires no outdoor condenser. Just two small wall holes — 162mm for most models, 202mm for the 3.0kW — are all that's needed to exchange air with the outside. No external fixings, no impact on your building's appearance and no planning permission required in most cases.

The RAC Solo isn't just a summer cooling solution — it's a full heat pump capable of operating in heating mode down to -15°C outdoor temperature. All models feature a no frost system with a preheated condenser water tray to maintain performance through even the coldest UK winters, making it a genuine year-round comfort solution.

Unlike a conventional split system air conditioner, the RAC Solo arrives pre-charged with refrigerant and has no refrigerant connections during installation. This means installation does not require F-Gas certification, making it faster, more accessible and more straightforward to install than a traditional system.

DC Inverter technology continuously adjusts the RAC Solo's output to match the exact heating or cooling demand of your room — rather than simply switching on and off. The result is more consistent comfort, quieter operation and significantly lower energy consumption compared to fixed speed systems. The Dual Power mode also allows the unit to reach your desired temperature in the shortest possible time.

All RAC Solo models carry an A-rated SCOP heating efficiency rating — the second highest energy label category available. As a heat pump the RAC Solo produces significantly more heat energy than the electrical energy it consumes, typically delivering around 3kW of heat for every 1kW of electricity used. This makes it a far more cost effective heating solution than electric panel heaters or storage heaters.
